ARK: A Living Archive of Urban Narratives

ARK is an art project that taps into the intimate relationship between the artist and his city. As part of the broader 4500.PT initiative, ARK collects objects from the urban landscape—some seemingly random, others deeply personal—that each tell a story about the artist’s life in his new city. These objects, once intertwined with everyday life, are carefully cataloged, identified, and assigned a unique reference ID.

But ARK is not just a static collection; it’s a dynamic process. After their documentation, some objects are returned to the cityscape, often placed in new locations, contributing to a curated, evolving database of urban memories. The city itself becomes a living archive, a breathing testament to the stories that shape and are shaped by it. ARK bridges the personal with the public, transforming the mundane into the unique and allowing the city to tell its own stories through the objects that inhabit it.

In ARK, the city is not just a backdrop; it is a collaborator, a living museum where art, history, and personal narrative converge.
